When you can't trust yourself, how can you ask anyone else to?

It's been months since Aden Colt left the Army, and still the memories haunt him. When he moved into a tiny boat off the California coast, he thought he'd found the perfect place to escape life. Then Sawyer shows up and turns his simple life upside down. Beautiful and sophisticated, she seems out of place in this laid-back beach town. Something is pushing her to experience everything she can—including Aden. But as much as he wants her, starting a relationship with Sawyer puts them both at risk. For Aden, the past doesn't stay there; it shows up unexpectedly, uncontrollably, and doesn't care whose life it wrecks.

My 5 Star Review
Jb Salsbury hit it out of the park with Wrecked. Two troubled souls that that connect perfectly and find love unexpectedly. A raw, heartfelt, and powerful read that had me glued to my kindle.

Sawyer lives a structured life, organizing her time with to do lists and such. Her twin sister Cece is just the opposite. Living life by the seat of her pants, until she is diagnosed with a brain tumor. She asks Sawyer to to pretend to be her and go back to California to pack up her things. How hard can that be? Get in, pack up, and get out Sawyer tells herself. What she wasn't planning on was Aden Colt.

Aden Colt, or Sergeant Psycho as the locals call him, has taken over his uncles place, running the units that Cece lived in. He's trying to get his life together after serving 4 tours overseas, the final one leaving death, destruction, deception and heartache in its path. He suffers from severe PTSD and has flashbacks to that night frequently. Salsbury did a phenomenal job detailing the struggles of a serious and sensitive subject.

I loved the connection that Sawyer and Aden had right off the bat, but my favorite part of the story was watching Sawyer live life and enjoy it. She grew so much throughout the story. The way Sawyer and Aden learned to lean on each other and helped each other through difficult times was beautiful and Salsbury captured it perfectly. Wrecked was so much more than I anticipated. 5 stars!

"Because life is beautiful and terrifying," she whispers. "And we deserve to feel it down to our bones."
